After many months of hard work, Brown Bag Consulting is releasing a beta version of ExpressUI 1.0, an end-to-end framework for rapidly building enterprise, CRUD applications.
The major innovation of this framework is that it relieves the developer from having to write UI code. For the most part, the framework defines the UI design and navigation flow, dramatically reducing the amount of code required to develop applications.
It is built on top of Spring, Hibernate, Vaadin and Maven, providing you with a mature technology stack ready to build enterprise applications.
The product is being released as under dual open-source (AGPL) and commercial licenses. We encourage you to play around with the framework by downloading the sample application.
Our goal is that you should be able to start developing applications immediately, just be looking at the sample code. No need to read lengthy documentation or tutorials.
